Pyro Da Arsonist is a Music Artist, Poet, Published Writer & Co-Host of The Lyrically Live Show ondtfradio.com along side Hosts The Choice Of NYC, Jes Haze & DJ Showcrime which airs every Friday from 7pm to 9pm. Pyro (Efrain Velazquez III) was born in the Chelsea area of New York City and he's of Puerto Rican descent. He started writing poetry at the age of 13 and after hearing artists like Big Daddy Kane, Eric B. & Rakim, De La Soul and others from that era he fell in love with Hip Hop and started writing his own songs. He used music & his writing as a form of therapy and a way to get over difficult times in his life. What started as a hobby grew into his passion and in 2010 he had a little buzz going which earned him an award for Most Requested Artist of the Year after his song "Shawty" was on radio rotation for 14 weeks in a row but due to health issues he had to take a 4 year hiatus. After meeting his wife in 2011 he was determined to continue chasing his dream so he focused on his health so he could be a better man for his wife & daughter. In 2014 he made comeback with his single "Crush" featuring his long time friend Meli Sul. He recently released his new music video for his track "Watch Me" which was directed by Koolkat Fred for In The Cut films and has been keeping himself busy performing around New York, doing interviews and working on his debut album "The Wait Is Over" which will be released later this year.
